Quinnox Interview

Hello frnds,

I appeared for quinnox on 15 nov 08,

It was offcapus with criteria - 

Requirements -

Qualification - BE/BTECH (Computer Science/ Electronics and Telecom / Information Technology/ Electronics - 2008 Pass Outs Candidates only with Aggregate of 55% and Above)

Candidates with any work experience will not be considered.

Candidates with Education Gaps will not be considered.

Job Location - Mumbai

Mandatory - Excellent Communication Skills and Inter Personal Skills.    

It has patter of selection - APTI>HR>TI

Aptitute Test

It's for 60 min and 62 questions.

They really have very high cutoff for aptitude test. In my class there were 100 students appeared and only 2-6 students were clear apti. and i was one of them.

Aptute Test is very easy i didn't even read anything just went directaly and it's seriously damn easy frnds. you really doesn't need to prepair anything for apti.

Almost 80 % questions are based on series and matrices 

eg.    1> a  d  i  _   y  ?

2>1   3   7  15  ?

3>20   14   8

   10    5   10
    5     ?     3

and 20% english specifically last two sections from all 5 sections

4 th section have fill in the blanks u have to put appropriate words which r meaningfull (5 question)

5 th section is para from whitch u have to answer 5 questions

First 3 sections have sub sections also but they all have almost series and matrices questions.

3 rd section is based on logical para i.e Mrs. ****** wants arrange meeting and 12 guest who can spoke diff lang. are coming so arrange them in such a way that everyone will able to talk with each other

A - hindi only

B - hindi and marathi

C - gujarati only

D - sanskrit and gujarati

E - .........

.

.

.

and so on 

and then 6 questions based on this para

1> arrage them in such a way that everyone will able to talk to each other

2> If Mrs B and F leave then which of following arrangement is correct

rest 4 are also same kind of questions but pretty easy to solve.......

And First 2 sections damn easy yaar seriously u can solve on the spot

One more thing 2nd section have sub section for logical ans. it has 4-6 questions in it

eg. x>=y && y y>z?? true false or ambiguous

u have just decide which is logical one 

i.e if a

but if a<=b and b>c as well as a>c then it's amniguous as we can't decide 

all those questions r exactaly same which u find on net,

m: very goog afternoon sir

HR: good afternoon harshad so at what time u came here?

m: 11.30 AM

HR: k tell m what dou u think about current IT scenario?
m: sir It's process of economy recession is not new to us, as per one theory in every 8 years recession come last time 2001 and now 2008. It will be soon off within 6 months or year. no need to panic.

HR: where u read this and what else can u say about IT?

m: sir i used to read many books and i just watch interview few days before where chairmen of NASSCOM said This is l soon off within a year and after 5 years their l b condi. that 20% economni l b taken by IT industry and indian IT market is stable.

HR:k tell m two things in which u think u r the best ( we was gng through CV 2nd page where we used to mention hobbies)

m: 1> carrom

     2> tech. i used to update myself with latest tech.

HR: k harshad it's really nice to talk to u bt i must tell u with ur result me release out apti criteria to some extend so u were able to clear apti ( actually when they call for apti result i ws first to call who cleared apti )

m: It's k sir , f9

HR:harshad it's hard to tell bt there r only 1% chance that u may get call from Quinnox 

m: It's really k sir atleast u clear that there are very less chances of selecting in this company because i allready got placed in one company and week before they informed m by mail that they l recruite us by oct 09 (after 1 year)  so u didn't do that so f9 bt this is like golden attempt it would b nice to work with quinnox. (It would m pacience test so let's hope i l get call)
